PBL CLUB Membership Terms

This English translation is provided for convenience only. If there is any discrepancy between the English and Japanese versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.

These Terms set forth the conditions of use for "PBL CLUB" (hereinafter, the "Program"), a membership program operated by Pickleball Lab (pickleball-lab.jp; hereinafter, the "Store"). Persons who have registered as members (hereinafter, "Members") may use the Program upon agreeing to these Terms. For details about the operator, please see our Legal Notice (Act on Specified Commercial Transactions).

Article 1 (Membership Registration)

  • There is no enrollment fee or annual fee for the Program. You become a Member when you create an account with the Store, and you can use points from the day you register.
  • Please register with accurate information. If false, duplicate, or fraudulent registration is discovered, the Store may cancel your points or suspend or revoke your membership.

Article 2 (Earning Points)

  • Members earn points on purchases at the Store, calculated by multiplying the purchase amount (excluding tax) by the earning rate for their membership tier. The earning rates are as set forth in Article 3.
  • The amount eligible for points is the price of the merchandise excluding tax. Shipping fees, other fees, and any portion paid with points are not eligible. In addition, certain products and campaigns may be excluded.
  • As a general rule, points are awarded after the items are shipped. Any fractions of a point resulting from these calculations are handled in the manner determined by the Store.
  • Each point is worth ¥1 and can be used toward purchases at the Store's online shop. Points belong to the Member's own account and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to a third party, or bought or sold.

Article 3 (Membership Tiers)

Membership tiers are determined based on the total purchase amount (excluding tax) over the most recent 12 months and are automatically reviewed on the 1st of each month. If your total falls below the threshold, your tier may be lowered (downgraded). The tiers and earning rates are as follows.

In addition to earning points, Members at the Elite tier and above may be offered benefits such as early member access to new and limited-quantity products, member-exclusive content, and invitations to trial events and clinics. The content, eligibility, and availability of these benefits are determined by the Store and may be changed or discontinued without notice.

Article 4 (Bonus Points)

We award the following bonus points for eligible actions other than purchases. Details of the conditions and eligibility are determined by the Store.

  • New member registration: 1,000 points
  • Friend referral: 1,000 points each to both the referring Member and the referred person (Article 7)
  • Birthday: 1,000 points
  • Product review: 500 points (applies to reviews of products you have purchased; store reviews are not eligible)
  • Email newsletter sign-up: 200 points
  • LINE account linking: 200 points

Article 5 (Using Points)

  • Points can be applied on the cart page toward future purchases at a rate of "1 point = ¥1."
  • Points may not be usable for certain products, payment methods, or campaigns.

Article 6 (Point Expiration)

  • Points are valid for 12 months from the date they are awarded. Points will expire once this period has passed.
  • We may notify you by email or other means when your points are about to expire (we do not guarantee whether or when such notices will be sent).

Article 7 (Friend Referral Program)

  • When a person newly registers through a referral link issued by a Member and that person's first order is confirmed, both the referring Member and the referred person will each receive 1,000 points.
  • Referrals involving duplicate registration by existing Members, self-referrals, or any other conduct the Store deems fraudulent or inappropriate are not eligible, and any points already awarded for such referrals will be revoked.

Article 8 (Cancellations and Returns)

  • If an order is canceled, returned, or refunded, any points scheduled to be awarded or already awarded for that transaction will be revoked.
  • If points were used for that transaction, the points used will, as a general rule, be returned to your account.

Article 9 (Prohibited Conduct and Fraudulent Use)

  • The following are prohibited: converting points into cash; transferring, lending, or selling points to a third party; fraudulent use of multiple accounts; unauthorized manipulation of the system; and obtaining or using points by any other fraudulent means.
  • If fraud or a violation of these Terms is discovered, the Store may revoke points, suspend or revoke membership, or take other necessary measures.

Article 10 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

If you withdraw from the Program or lose your membership, all points you hold and your tier will be forfeited and cannot be restored.

Article 11 (Changes to and Termination of These Terms and the Program)

  • The Store may change these Terms and the content of the Program (including earning rates, tier thresholds, bonuses, expiration periods, and benefits) when it deems necessary. Changes take effect upon being posted on the Store's website or announced by any other method determined by the Store.
  • The Store may terminate the Program after providing a reasonable notice period. The treatment of points upon termination will be determined and announced by the Store at the time of termination.

Article 12 (Disclaimer)

  • The awarding, use, or display of points may be delayed or suspended due to system maintenance, system failures, network conditions, or other factors.
  • The Store shall not be liable for any damages arising from a Member's inadequate management of their account, use by a third party, or the like.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Inquiries)

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
