About Pickleball Lab
Bringing a true specialty shop to pickleball in Japan.
With authentic gear you can trust and expert knowledge from a coach's perspective, we're here to support your game.
“Authentic paddles, from an authentic specialty shop.”
Pickleball is growing fast, but Japan still has few specialty shops you can trust, and many gray-market (parallel-import) products and items of uncertain quality are in circulation.
As the only specialty shop in Japan with authorized agreements with world-class brands, Pickleball Lab's mission is to deliver authentic quality, official warranty coverage, and expert advice together, all in one place.
Whether you're thinking, “I have no idea which paddle is right for me,” or “I want to take my game to a competitive level,” we aim to be the place where you'll find your answer.

4 Reasons to Shop with Us
Every product we sell is a genuine manufacturer product. There's no risk of the fakes or degraded items often found among gray-market imports. And if anything goes wrong, the manufacturer's warranty applies.
In-stock items ship the same day when your order is confirmed by 2:00 p.m. (Japan time) on a weekday, with delivery as soon as the next day. We also take backorders for colors and core thicknesses that are out of stock, and show an estimated lead time on the product page.
Coach Yoshi, a former world-level ski competitor and active tennis coach, has play-tested and reviewed more than 100 paddles. We tell you clearly who each paddle is best suited for.

Coach Yoshi
Owner of Pickleball Lab / Former competitive skier (best finish of 3rd at the world level) / Active tennis coach
Born in Yokohama → 15 years in LA → now based in Tokyo
I discovered pickleball in 2026, on the campus of my alma mater during a family trip to Los Angeles. Even with 15 years of tennis behind me, my first reaction was, “What is this!?” But once I started playing, I realized just how deep the game really is.
Drawing on the eye for equipment I developed as a former world-level ski competitor and as an active tennis coach, I've play-tested and evaluated more than 100 paddles from Japan and around the world.
Pickleball Lab grew out of my wish to build “the kind of shop I'd want to shop at myself.”
