Construction Designed
for Pickleball

Every part of an Engage paddle, from the core to the face and edge guard, is designed specifically for pickleball. While many paddles borrow materials and shapes from tennis or badminton, Engage thoroughly analyzed what makes this sport unique — low-bouncing balls, dink battles near the kitchen (non-volley zone), rapid-fire drive exchanges — and pursued a construction that performs at its best in every one of those situations.

Inside the paddle is a proprietary polymer core called "ControlPro²." It precisely tunes how much the paddle flexes at impact, so you can control the ball without losing power.

The Paddles the Pros Use,
Straight to You

Engage Pickleball paddles are used by many top players on America's professional pickleball tours (PPA Tour and APP Tour). For amateur players, performance that meets the demands of the pros becomes a tool that actively helps you improve.

Spin-loaded drives that stay in the court, dinks aimed at your opponent's feet, lightning-quick blocks — Engage paddles deliver in every one of those moments. Many Engage players say that practicing with the same gear as the pros has expanded their tactical options.

A Lineup That Lets You Step Up
from Beginner to Advanced

Engage's lineup offers paddles for every level, from players who have just picked up the sport to heavy players who are on the court three or more times a week.

Engage's official US collections are organized into three tiers: "Encore," "Performance" and "Professional." For beginners, the latest Encore model, the "Encore Pro V3.0," is the ideal choice — a rare option in the industry that brings a carbon face (Amplified Carbon Face) at an entry-level price. Intermediate to advanced players are covered by the "Performance" series (Pursuit Pro1 / Pursuit Pro MX / ProFoam, etc.), while advanced and competitive players are served by the "Professional" series, led by the flagship "X2."

Entry: Encore Series — Encore Pro V3.0 (Amplified Carbon Face, 16mm core, a carbon experience at an entry-level price)
Intermediate to advanced: Performance Series — Pursuit Pro1 / Pursuit Pro MX / ProFoam, etc. (carbon, all-around)
Advanced & competitive: Professional Series — X2 Elongated / X2 Widebody / Pursuit Pro EX, etc. (carbon, top-level spin)

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about Engage paddles.

What's the difference between gray-market (parallel-import) and genuine products?+
The biggest difference is whether you get warranty coverage and support. With gray-market products, it's hard to get help in Japan even if there's an initial defect, and in most cases there's no point of contact for returns or exchanges. For genuine products purchased from Pickleball Lab, we handle initial defects, grip size consultations and usage support entirely within Japan, under our distribution agreement with Engage headquarters.
How do I choose the right grip size?+
As a general guide, hold your hand palm-up with your fingers extended and measure from the middle of the three horizontal creases on your palm to the tip of your ring finger. For most people this comes out to 4–5 inches, and that length is a good guide to the grip circumference you need. By height, a rough guide is 4 inches (about 10.2cm) if you're under 160cm, 4.25 inches (about 10.8cm) for 160–173cm, and 4.5 inches (about 11.4cm) if you're taller. If you're not sure about sizing, ask us on LINE. Send us a photo of your palm and we'll give you our advice.
How heavy should my paddle be?+
Pickleball paddles generally fall in the 7.5–8.5 oz (213–241g) range, and Engage's lineup is centered on 7.8–8.3 oz. Lighter paddles (up to 8.0 oz) allow faster swing speed and improve spin and control, but they can make it harder to generate power. We recommend that beginners start with a standard weight of around 8.0 oz, then adjust to their preference as they get used to it.
What's the difference between a carbon face and a fiberglass face?+
Face material has a big effect on how the ball comes off the paddle and how it feels. Carbon fiber is stiff, and its surface texture grips the ball (making it easier to generate spin), so it suits aggressive, spin-driven play. Fiberglass, on the other hand, is softer and flexes more at impact, giving you the sense of the ball sinking into the face and making it easier to control. Engage's current lineup is centered on carbon: from the entry-level Encore Pro V3.0 to the competition models X2 / Pursuit Pro EX, all of them use a carbon face (the Encore Pro V3.0's Amplified Carbon Face is Engage's own design that lets you experience the benefits of carbon at an entry-level price).
Are Engage paddles good for pickleball beginners?+
Yes, they are. The "Encore Pro V3.0" features a carbon face (Amplified Carbon Face / True Carbon Skin) and a 16mm core at an entry-level price, making it easy to get a feel for the ball. With Made in USA precision, it will last you a long time, and moving up to the Pursuit Pro1 feels natural as you improve, which is why we recommend the Encore Pro V3.0 as your first paddle.
