Digging out a low ball that skims the court, clashing paddles with your partner—the first part of a pickleball paddle to wear down is the trim along the edge. Engage Edge Tape is a tough protective tape that adds one more layer of protection right there. The back is adhesive, so you simply stick it on.

The classic frustration with edge tape is the way it bunches up where the paddle curves. That is exactly what Engage went after: the tape is designed to resist wrinkling even around those corners (per the manufacturer's packaging). It is made for Engage paddles, and it works as is on models of different thicknesses (Pursuit Pro EX, Pursuit Pro MX, Pursuit Pro1, X2, Alpha, Alpha Pro, ProFoam, Encore Pro, Aero and more).

Each pack holds three strips of tape, which makes it handy to keep spares on hand for re-taping. Two colors are available, Pink and White, so pick yours when you order. Changing the color of the trim alone gives the paddle a slightly different look. Use it as an edge guard to keep the trim free of scratches and wear.
